Site of the day: a one-page website, auctioned every day.
Site of the week: a multi-page website, auctioned once a week.
The site of the week has up to 50 pages across all languages combined: 10 pages in 5 languages count as 50.
Anyone can take part: a person or a company from any country.
The winner gets a new site built for their business.
This is how the site of the day looks on the auction page: current price, time left and the “Place a bid” button.
Bids
Bidding starts at $0, and the first bid can be $0 too.
After that, each new bid must be at least $1 above the current price. You cannot place an equal bid.
Bids are in US dollars.Euro and zloty amounts on the page are estimates.
The highest bid when the auction ends wins.
If you win, you pay your bid and nothing more.
You can cancel a bid, except in the last hour of bidding.
Equal amounts happen only when automatic bidding maximums match. Then there are several winners, and each of them gets a site.
By bidding, you agree that we will publish a link to your finished site in the auction results.
Email confirmation and cancelling
After you bid, we email you a 6-digit code. The bid joins the auction once you enter the code.
You have 10 minutes for the code.No code: the bid is cancelled.Until then, other bidders do not see it.
Once you confirm your email, later bids from that email in the same browser don't need a code.
You can cancel a bid under “My bids”, except in the last hour of bidding.
If the leader cancels, the next highest bid leads again.
To protect the auction from fake bids, we look at IP addresses and bidding patterns.Suspicious bids join the auction only after the brief is filled in.
The brief
The brief is a short form about your business. We build the site from it.
Within an hour of your first bid, fill in enough of the brief for us to start the site.
The answers we need are listed under "My bids" on the auction page.
Too late: your bid is removed from the auction.Fill in the brief and you can bid again.
Automatic bidding and bid repeat work only once the brief has these answers.
When bidding ends
Site of the day: every day at 18:00 Warsaw time.
Site of the week: every Tuesday at 18:00 Warsaw time.
A bid in the last 5 minutes moves the end of the auction 5 minutes later.
Bidding never runs past 19:00 Warsaw time.
Automatic bidding
Set your maximum bid.
When someone outbids you, we bid $1 more than them for you, up to your maximum.
Automatic bids count as yours: you cancel them the same way as a normal bid.
Repeating a bid
Check "Repeat my bid" and choose how long: up to 365 days for the site of the day, up to 52 weeks for the site of the week.
Didn't win?Your bid then carries over to the next auction of the same kind, with the same amount and maximum.
