Still Point Yoga: a timetable that lowers the pressure
Demonstration build · website · Portland, OR · see the build
We made this demonstration build ourselves to show how we would solve a real studio problem. Nobody commissioned it and no customer paid for it. The brief, design constraints and audit record are real; the business and its student reflections are not presented as client history.
The brief we set ourselves
A neighbourhood yoga studio needs to help a first-time visitor choose a class without making them feel tested. The visitor must be able to distinguish the class styles, find a useful time, understand what is still awaiting studio approval, and reserve a place without reading performance-heavy wellness copy.
Decisions that shaped the site
- Class choice comes before studio mythology. The page explains the practical difference between the available practices before asking the visitor to commit.
- The timetable is organised around real days. Morning, midday and evening are easier to scan than a long promotional catalogue.
- Unapproved operational details stay visibly unapproved. Arrival procedures and equipment are not invented to make the demonstration look complete.
- The tone removes performance pressure. Rest, modification and beginner questions are normal parts of the interface, because uncertainty is the conversion barrier.
The recorded numbers
- Final score in results.json
- 100 / 100
- Attempts recorded
- 2
- Path through the audit
- 19, then 100
- Recorded page weight
- 21 KB
- What the first attempt exposed
- Contrast failures across viewports and dark mode, a missing recognised call-to-action class, and a page that was too thin.
Those figures come only from site/work/results.json. This draft does not manufacture a contrast-element count that the record does not contain.
What we would charge for this scope
The recorded scope price is $325. That is what we would charge for this demonstration scope, not money received from a client.
