Clara Mono: a portfolio that refuses to fake a past
Demonstration build · landing page · Savannah, GA · see the build
Clara Mono is a demonstration build we created ourselves. It was not commissioned, no photographer paid for it, and the editorial concept images are not described as weddings the studio photographed.
The brief we set ourselves
A new wedding-photography studio needs to communicate a quiet black-and-white direction, explain packages and collect date enquiries before it has a genuine commissioned portfolio. The constraint is the point: the page must sell an intended style without turning concepts into fake client work.
Decisions that shaped the page
- Concept work is labelled at the gallery itself. The disclosure is not hidden in a footer where a visitor can miss it.
- The first action is date availability. A wedding enquiry begins with the calendar; general contact comes later.
- Packages explain coverage, not invented popularity. The visitor can compare what the studio proposes without “most booked” claims unsupported by sales.
- The monochrome system carries the art direction. Typography, spacing and restrained illustration create a point of view before real commission work exists.

The stored verdicts show why honesty mattered: the first version presented venue-specific imagery too much like delivered work; later rounds corrected that and exposed remaining asset and launch-detail work. The record reports a final score of 100 but does not store the final clean round, so this draft does not invent one.
What we would charge for this scope
The recorded price for this one-page demonstration scope is $150. It is what we would charge, not what anyone paid.
