Request South AustinThe hardest part of a dental visit should not be finding the door. Here is how each office looks from the road, where to leave the car, and what the final turn actually involves.
Free surface parking sits behind the building. The lot entrance is off the side street rather than off Lamar itself, so move into the right lane as you approach — missing it means a loop around the block. Accessible spaces are marked closest to the door and stay reserved during office hours.
The suite is on the ground floor. The door you park next to is the door you walk through; there is no separate street entrance to hunt for.
The complex has a large open lot with no fee and no time limit, so a longer appointment will not cost you a ticket. Suite 210 is on the second floor; the elevator is inside the main lobby doors, immediately on your left, and the stairwell is next to it if you prefer.
If you circle the lot twice and still cannot spot the lobby, call us and stay on the line. Someone will talk you in.
Both offices sit on well-served bus corridors — North Lamar and South Congress — so transit plus a short walk is a realistic option if you would rather not drive. Check the CapMetro trip planner for current routes and times, and build in a buffer. We would rather you arrive early and sit down for a minute than sprint through the door.
Austin traffic is predictable enough to plan around, and the office you choose matters less than the hour you choose. When you call, tell us where you are coming from and we will steer you toward a slot that does not start with a fight on I-35.
The Central Austin office opens at 8:00am, which puts a cleaning ahead of the worst of the inbound rush if you live north or west of downtown. Arrive from the north on Lamar rather than the interstate and the difference is noticeable.
Best for: routine exams, cleanings, anything you want behind you before the workday starts.
Between the rushes, both lots are at their emptiest and both offices are at their quietest. If you need a longer appointment — a crown, a root canal, several items grouped together — this is the window that will not leave you watching the clock.
Best for: longer treatment, first visits, appointments with children in tow.
South Austin stays open until 6:00pm Monday through Thursday. Coming from downtown, leaving after 4:30pm usually means slow going on South Congress, so give the drive more room than the map suggests.
Best for: after-work visits and anyone who cannot take time off midday.
Running late anyway? Call rather than speed. We can often shift the order of the day or move you to a later slot, and a phone call costs you nothing but a minute.
Useful if someone is driving you, waiting for you, or turning the trip into an errand. Neither waiting room is a bad place to sit, but nobody has to sit there if they would rather not.
The office sits in the stretch of North Lamar between the university area and the Hancock neighborhood, so coffee, groceries and a place to sit with a laptop are all within a short walk. A companion waiting through a longer appointment has options beyond our chairs.

Same phone number, same records, same standard of care. Choosing between them is a question about your calendar and your commute, not about the dentistry.
Your chart follows you. If Central Austin is booked solid and South Austin can see you on Thursday, nothing has to be re-taken, re-explained or started over — the X-rays, the notes and the treatment plan are already there when you walk in.
That also means a course of treatment can be split across both offices if that is what your week allows. A cleaning at one and a filling at the other is a normal request, not a complication, and you will not be asked to repeat your medical history at the second desk.
If you have no preference at all, say so. The scheduling team will simply offer the earliest suitable opening at either location and tell you which one it is.
Getting through the door should not be the part you have to plan around. Here is what each building actually offers, in plain terms.
At Central Austin, the entrance is level with the parking lot — no steps, no portable ramp, no side door to find. The suite door and the treatment-room doorways are wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the restroom on that floor is accessible.
At South Austin, the lobby entrance is level with the lot and the elevator sits just inside the main doors. It reaches Suite 210 directly, and there is an accessible restroom on the same floor as the office, so no one has to go back down mid-visit.

Call 911 for uncontrolled bleeding, serious facial trauma, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or symptoms that may require hospital care. Dental office messaging is not monitored as an emergency service.
No surprises at the door. Three short steps, the same at either office, so a first visit feels like a second one.
In Central Austin, the lot is behind the building and Suite 120 is the first door on your right as you come in. In South Austin, take the elevator from the lobby to the second floor and follow the hallway to Suite 210. Both doors are signed.
Bring photo ID and your insurance card if you have one. For a first visit, arrive about fifteen minutes early to finish the health history without rushing; for a routine cleaning, five minutes is plenty. Paperwork can also be sent ahead of time — ask when you book.
Whatever comes next gets scheduled while you are still standing there, and you leave knowing what was found, what is recommended and what it is likely to cost. If a follow-up fits better at the other office, we will book it there.
Children, a parent you are driving, a friend who does the talking on hard days — all fine, at either office. If a family member is coming for their own appointment on the same trip, ask about back-to-back slots and you will make one drive do the work of two.

The clinical experience is shared across both locations. The practical differences are the address, the hours and how you get from the parking lot to the chair.
Ask for the earliest suitable opening and the scheduling team will compare both offices. Your records, X-rays and treatment plan stay with the practice, so choosing the earlier appointment does not mean starting over. If you use a wheelchair, walker or other mobility aid, mention it when booking so the team can confirm the route and prepare the room before you arrive.
